Liminal Life Coach

Grounded clarity for complicated seasons of life.

Hi, I'm Alicia Garnet, a Liminal Life Coach and former board-certified midwife.

My Story

I am Alicia Garnet, a Liminal Life Coach and former board-certified midwife.  For more than two decades, I worked closely with people moving through one of life’s most vulnerable and transformative thresholds: birth.

That work required calm presence, emotional steadiness, intuition, discernment, and the ability to remain grounded while others moved through fear, uncertainty, pain, surrender, and profound change.

Over time, I began recognizing that many life transitions carry similar emotional landscapes. Relationships shift. Identities unravel. Belief systems evolve. Grief changes people. Internal conflict builds quietly beneath the surface until clarity can no longer be avoided.

I created Liminal Life Coaching as a space for those moments.

My work is centered around honest reflection, grounded support, meaningful insight, and helping people move through complexity with greater clarity and self-awareness.

My Approach

My approach is reflective, direct, grounded, and insight-oriented.

I listen for the deeper pattern beneath the presenting issue. I ask honest questions. I help clients slow down enough to notice what they already know but may not yet be ready to name.

Depending on the person and situation, this work may include:

  • clarity for immediate or recurring issues
  • identifying emotional or relational patterns
  • navigating difficult decisions
  • dream exploration
  • journaling practices
  • tarot reflection
  • Biblical reflection
  • symbolic exploration and inner meaning
  • spiritual reflection when desired
  • examining avoidance, fear, or internal conflict
  • creating grounded next steps

These are not belief systems imposed onto clients. They are reflective tools used thoughtfully and selectively depending on the individual, their values, and what feels meaningful or helpful to them.

This is not about becoming someone else.

It is about seeing clearly enough to move honestly.

What Is Liminal Life Coaching?
Who is Coaching For?

A liminal life coach supports people through the space between what was and what is becoming.  In other words, I can help with bridging the gap between where you are right now and where you want to be.

The work is not about rushing answers or forcing certainty. It is about creating a calm, honest space where complexity can be faced directly enough for clarity to emerge.

Sometimes your next step becomes visible not through pressure, but through truth.

Why would I need a Liminal Coach?
  • When feeling emotionally stuck, conflicted, or unable to move forward
  • When clarity is needed before taking action
  • When facing difficult or emotionally layered decisions
  • When trapped in recurring patterns or internal conflict
  • When experiencing spiritual questioning or identity shifts
  • When navigating grief, transition, or emotional overwhelm
  • When exhausted from avoiding what you already know deep down
What optional practices might be involved?
  • Clarifying immediate or recurring issues
  • Identifying emotional or relational patterns
  • Navigating difficult decisions
  • Dream exploration
  • Journaling practices
  • Tarot reflection
  • Biblical and/or spiritual reflection
  • Exploring physical symptoms as a manifestation of inner life
  • Symbolic exploration and inner meaning
  • Examining avoidance, fear, or internal conflict
  • Creating grounded next steps
  • Development of personal doctrines
  • Development of relationship doctrines
What if I need more support then a weekly session?

Clients with recurring visits may also receive weekly touch-base check-ins between sessions.  Depending on preference and personal values, these may include:

  • reflective questions
  • journaling prompts
  • dream exploration prompts
  • tarot reflections
  • Bible verses
  • grounding encouragement
What questions will I be asked in the mutual interview?

The mutual interview is a calm, safe space for both of us to explore whether this work feels aligned for both of us.

I may ask questions like what is happening that led you to reach out or what kind of support are you hoping for but you won’t need to be prepared or have polished answers.

You are welcome to ask me anything you need to know about my experience, approach, methods, boundaries, etc.  The purpose is simply to discover whether we feel comfortable moving forward together.

Who, What, When, Where?

Clients meet with me, personally.  Most sessions will take place virtually although if possible, in-person sessions are an option.  Once we get connected then we can arrange a meeting time and take it from there.

When life becomes complex, clarity can feel impossibly far away.
